To carry out the exportation of our Mango, Colibrí Fruit takes it seriously the established international hygiene and cleanliness standards.

 

Orchards

All starts from our orchards, our mango has a rigorous selection process quality, in addition to more than 600 acres of orchards, we have a high control of hygiene such as toilets and sinks for all our employees.

Arrival

When the truck arrives to the packing, the product is washed with water, and chlorine sanitizer so it gets fully clean, then a further separation is done according to its size (90S, 75S and 110S).

Hydrothermal Process

After cleaning and caliber separation the mangoes undergoes to our hydrothermal system which consists of tubs with space for 216 boxes of 20 kilos each one to perform an hydrothermal treatment process which is required to export the mango to other countries.

Packaging

After the Hydrothermal treatment is completed, the product is taken in a special place and let stand 24 hours so, for the next day gets packed and put into a cold room at a temperature of 28 degrees F.

Transportation

Finally after checking that the fruit is already in a temperature 50º at least, all mangoes are highly selected and placed in special boxes for packing, once packed it proceeds to perform the cargo into refrigerated trucks and sent them to their destination. We have a fleet of trucks with thermos and is a service we offer when we are not in season produce.
